Tierlist November 2024

Optimal Genshin Impact team tierlist for November 2024.

Before We Start

Tier List
This is a tier list accounting for playability and Spiral Abyss matchups. Not exhaustive. This list will be updated occasionally. Last Updated: 11/25/2024.

We will be evaluating teams based on these criteria within the context of the Spiral Abyss, with extra notes when necessary. Extra icons will point out specially difficult or easy, AoE or single target, and expensive or cheap teams. You should know that not every variation of teams will be listed, but rather each character’s best or near-best. We will be providing some gcsim simulations of some characters to demonstrate their strength, but do not be deceived by DPS values alone, there are many considerations when evaluating characters.

Legend for extra notes.

Z Tier

These teams output disproportionate amounts of damage compared to how easy they are to use and are able to clear the Spiral Abyss with trivial investment.

The old Z tier. Updated Z tier.

The Best Units

Truly, Mavuika is stealing the show. While Neuvillette and Furina are still great, Mavuika has a really good shot at dethroning our Hydro duo. If she leaves the beta as she is, there will be no conversation left to have, as she just deals too much damage on her own. Perhaps the most surprising, Citlali appears as an incredible Melt enabling unit. Mavuika also is able to send Mualani up here as well, as she pulls her own weight to keep up with the Vaporizes during her own uptime.

Still, we consider Neuvillette and Furina to be the some of best units in the game. They are the premier units that pair together and with others extremely well. Neuvillette works with nearly every team composition while freeing up your Xingqiu or Yelan for another team, does incredible damage by himself, and does it so easily. Furina on the other hand, is an extremely powerful off-field damage dealer that provides a 75% omni-element/rainbow DMG bonus to every member of the team, propelling some hypercarries and their teams into extremely potent positions in the meta. Furina is now nearly the best choice, as many teams have found easy access to healing with Xilonen , who doesn’t sacrifice any powerful buffs. Xilonen is exceptional even without being paired with Furina , and Arlecchino will certainly find a powerful buffer with her. Additionally, Arlecchino gets Citlali to enable a Melt playstyle that skyrockets her damage compared to her other Pyro peers like Tao .

Additionally, variations of Hyperbloom teams that have extremely low primogem and resin cost with good ease of use and exceptional performance find their way at the top of the meta. Alhaitham acts as an exceptional driver for these teams. Raiden Shogun , and to the same effect, Kuki Shinobu , serves as an even easier option to trigger Hyperbloom from Dendro cores.

S Tier

Units in the S Tier are still at the top of the meta-game, but have other considerations that push them down from the Z Tier.

The old S tier. Updated S tier.

Changes

We decided to move Arlecchino into the Z tier. Navia finds great use of the new possibilities by pairing Furina and Xilonen .

Lyney is able to squeeze in Citlali and Xilonen for more damage and safety, though these are relatively 5-stars.

Chasca also muscles her way into the S tier. She’s quite easy to play, but has some reliance on randomness of the order of her bullets. C1, C2, and her signature open up her teambuilding a lot, but she performs fine at C0.

Kinich and Ganyu find some upgrades with Mavuika . Kinich gets alot out of his Burning niche, which pushes out Mavuika buffs that might be better to build around, but hey, it’s a Kinich team that performs well. Ganyu ’s melt teams finally find some respite from Xiangling and Kaedehara Kazuha with Mavuika ’s probably weakest niche, but atleast you can forward Melt the initial hits of Mavuika ’s Elemental Burst.

Notes

Nilou who is only this low because of the number of 5-Stars required to push her. Nilou excels especially in AoE content, where the Bountiful Blooms are able to rip through enemies. Note that her teams, like most Nahida teams, also scales extremely well with constellations across all of their members.

One of the best glow-ups from their release power level, Xiao has received numerous upgrades to his teams over the years. C6 Faruzan and Xianyun have boosted his power up substantially. Unfortunately, C6 Faruzan is notoriously difficult to attain without copies of less desirable constellations on Xiao and Wanderer .

The rest of S Tier is filled with the top options for clearing the Spiral Abyss.

A Tier

A Tier is the bottom of the top of the meta, these teams are still able to clear the Spiral Abyss without much worry.

The old A tier. Updated A tier.

Changes

A tier admittedly doesn’t change much, but Xilonen manages to pull both Klee and Yoimiya out of purgatory. They’re able to clear the Spiral Abyss much more comfortably with a Furina , Xilonen , and Yelan core.

Melt Ganyu moves out of the tier just barely, and we decided to omit a version of Arlecchino ’s teams.

Notes

Freeze Ayaka has fallen quite a bit from grace. Her best variations can run Shenhe and Furina to push her damage further, but that’s quite the expense.

B Tier

These units are able to clear the abyss, just with appropriate investment. These units are often much more Abyss matchup reliant. Note that Itto gets access to Furina with the release of Xilonen , but currently are not within gcsim. Itto ’s ranking will increase as we gain new information.

The old B tier. Updated B tier.

Changes

Itto gains alot from the Furina and Xilonen core, but can struggle without proper investment. You can however, with all the pieces assemble a pretty strong team.

C Tier

These units are able to clear the Spiral Abyss with moderate difficulty, occasionally. They are heavily reliant on Abyss matchups as well as fairly investment heavy to overcome their pitfalls.
