Before We Start
We will be evaluating teams based on these criteria within the context of the Spiral Abyss, with extra notes when necessary. Extra icons will point out specially difficult or easy, AoE or single target, and expensive or cheap teams. You should know that not every variation of teams will be listed, but rather each character’s best or near-best. We will be providing some gcsim simulations of some characters to demonstrate their strength, but do not be deceived by DPS values alone, there are many considerations when evaluating characters.
Z Tier
These teams output disproportionate amounts of damage compared to how easy they are to use and are able to clear the Spiral Abyss with trivial investment.
The Best Units
Truly, is stealing the show. While and are still great, has a really good shot at dethroning our Hydro duo. If she leaves the beta as she is, there will be no conversation left to have, as she just deals too much damage on her own. Perhaps the most surprising, appears as an incredible Melt enabling unit. also is able to send up here as well, as she pulls her own weight to keep up with the Vaporizes during her own uptime.
Still, we consider and to be the some of best units in the game. They are the premier units that pair together and with others extremely well. works with nearly every team composition while freeing up your or for another team, does incredible damage by himself, and does it so easily. on the other hand, is an extremely powerful off-field damage dealer that provides a 75% omni-element/rainbow DMG bonus to every member of the team, propelling some hypercarries and their teams into extremely potent positions in the meta. is now nearly the best choice, as many teams have found easy access to healing with , who doesn’t sacrifice any powerful buffs. is exceptional even without being paired with , and will certainly find a powerful buffer with her. Additionally, gets to enable a Melt playstyle that skyrockets her damage compared to her other Pyro peers like .
Additionally, variations of Hyperbloom teams that have extremely low primogem and resin cost with good ease of use and exceptional performance find their way at the top of the meta. acts as an exceptional driver for these teams. , and to the same effect, , serves as an even easier option to trigger Hyperbloom from Dendro cores.
S Tier
Units in the S Tier are still at the top of the meta-game, but have other considerations that push them down from the Z Tier.
Changes
We decided to move into the Z tier. finds great use of the new possibilities by pairing and .

is able to squeeze in and for more damage and safety, though these are relatively 5-stars.
also muscles her way into the S tier. She’s quite easy to play, but has some reliance on randomness of the order of her bullets. C1, C2, and her signature open up her teambuilding a lot, but she performs fine at C0.
and find some upgrades with . gets alot out of his Burning niche, which pushes out buffs that might be better to build around, but hey, it’s a team that performs well. ’s melt teams finally find some respite from and with ’s probably weakest niche, but atleast you can forward Melt the initial hits of ’s Elemental Burst.
Notes
who is only this low because of the number of 5-Stars required to push her. excels especially in AoE content, where the Bountiful Blooms are able to rip through enemies. Note that her teams, like most Nahida teams, also scales extremely well with constellations across all of their members.

Changes
A tier admittedly doesn’t change much, but manages to pull both and out of purgatory. They’re able to clear the Spiral Abyss much more comfortably with a , , and core.
